Rosendo Leon (Chendy), studied in Juan Pablo Duarte Music Conservatory, a branch of the renown ISA, Cuba (Instituto Superior de Arte). He has specialized in Contemporary and traditional Latin American percussion mastering Timbales, Bongos, Congas and the drum-set. He has performed in his native Cuba with important bands such as Rojitas y Su Grupo, Melao Son, Yagruma and directed Metropolis, his own band

In Toronto, he has participated in numerous recording projects an performed with major Latin Jazz and orchestras and Salsa bands such as Cruzao, Jane Bunett, Havana Express, Quimica Perfecta, Jessy Cook and Cassava Latin Rhythms.
